BAG Members Show Work in Ohio Craft Museum, 2015
BAG member Julie Nocent-Vigil attended the opening for “On the Page,” an exhibition of contemporary book art at the Ohio Craft Museum in Columbus. The show also included work by Andrea Cypress, Linda Zwick, Penne Mobley, Victoria Rabinowe, and Will Karp. Julie gave us this account of the reception:
“It was a lovely opening on July 12, 2015, with a good turnout and positive reception. I personally liked the way curator Tracy Rieger had white gloves strategically positioned for the hands-on pieces. Visitors really enjoyed the show and being able to handle the books. It was thoughtfully curated. Because this was my very first group juried show, I felt I had to go and celebrate! I took the exhibition photos when visitors were not there; it was busy.”
Julie noted that the Columbus Dispatch published an article about the show, which you can view at:

Tom Leech, April 2015
Tom Leech presented “Gustave Baumann, Artist, Printer, Painter, Puppeteer.” Actually, that was the original title of the presentation. Instead, Tom (who is the Director of the Press at the Palace of the Governors) decided to focus on one element of Gus Baumann’s creativity: printmaking. Tom’s book, Gustave Baumann and Friends: Artist Cards from Holidays Past, was recently published. Here are a few photos taken by Gail Murray. The presentation was held in the auditorium at the Palace of the Governors.
