Your Book of Life: A Soul-Searching Memoir Workshop with Victoria Rabinowe & Freya Diamond

Every autumn, the Old Testament celebrates the joyous remembrance of creation and our annual opportunity for re-creation. This is a time of introspection in which we reflect on our lives and pray for reconciliation with family, friends, and God. We engage in a meaningful preparation by crafting a physical/metaphysical handmade Book of Life filled with prose, poetry, prayer, and found-imagery collage. Using guided prompts to reflect on themes of remembrance, forgiveness, compassion, and loving-kindness, we will honor this time to contact our divine potential as we embrace the hopes and dreams for our lives in the new year ahead.

All materials will be provided. All religions and belief systems are welcome.

Victoria Rabinowe is one of the founding mothers of BAG as program director, newsletter wrangler, and all-around Czarina. She is an international lecturer and workshop leader in the fields of dreams and memoir. Victoria is the author and illustrator of the recently published Conversations with Psyche: A Dreamer’s Guide to Soul-Stirring Creativity.

Freya Diamond has been a BAG member for 30 years, serving as Treasurer (or “fiscal responsibility,” as she called herself) for 10 years. She has been doing dream work with Victoria for more than 30 years and has made more than 750 dream books. Freya’s flag books (on mostly female artists and various other subjects) are in many university and private collections around the country, thanks to her agent, Vamp and Tramp. She has hosted a book exchange group for eight years.
